The Academy of Dance offers several levels of study that train upcoming professional dancers and dance teachers. Classical academic dance classes are generally taught following the principles of the Vaganova method, which has been adapted to modern stage practice.

The Junior Preparatory Studies course was designed for young people aged 8 until the completion of schooling. Syllabus: classical academic dance and modern dance. The course is divided into elementary training (Levels 1 - 7). The Junior Preparatory Studies course is subject to fees.

The Bachelor of Arts Course in professional Dance (4 years) provides students with an education in artistic stage dance and culminates in a Bachelor of Arts in Dance. The course focuses on classical academic dance.

The Bachelor of Arts Course in Dance Pedagogy (4 years) can be completed parallel to the dance course or as an independent course of study. The qualification obtained is a Bachelor of Arts in Dance Pedagogy. The course focuses on the methodology of classical ballet.

The Master of Arts Course in Dance requires an absolved Bachelor of Arts in Dance or an equivalent degree. The qualification obtained is the Master of Arts in Dance. In addition to daily classical ballet training and repertoire classes, the students take part in a cooperation with the company of the Badischen Staatstheater Karlsruhe, and the Tanzstiftung Birgit Keil. There is an intensive collaboration with guest choreographers.

The Bachelor of Arts Course in Dance Pedagogy and the Master of Arts Course in Dance Pedagogy for professional dancers was designed for dancers that already have stage experience and encompasses two fields of study. The first year (7th and 8th terms) concentrates on children’s dance pedagogy and if successfully concluded (Bachelor of Arts in Dance Pedagogy) can be followed by a further year (1st and 2nd term of the Master of Arts Course in Dance Pedagogy) which prepares for the occupational field of vocational dance schools, ballet master/mistress in a theatre and for freelance activities. (Qualification Master of Arts in Dance Pedagogy).
