Terms of admission for the postgraduate study course Additional Studies

 

The following subjects are offered:

Song interpretation for pianists (Duration 15 mins)

The candidate is to bring a singing partner for the examination themselves.
 


 

Chamber music for pianists (Duration 15 mins)

The candidate is to bring (an) instrumental partner(s) for the examination themselves.

 
 

Song interpretation for voice / piano duet (Duration 20 mins)

Studying is only possible for established ensembles. Applications from individuals are excluded.

It is recommended that works are performed from different stylistic periods. At least two works must be performed in the German language.
 


 

Chamber music for ensembles (Duration 20 mins)

Studying is only possible for established ensembles. Applications from individuals are excluded.
All chamber music formations are possible from two people upwards.

It is recommended that works are performed from different stylistic periods.
 


 

Ensemble performance for piano duet (Duration 20 mins)

Studying is only possible for established ensembles. Applications from individuals are excluded.

It is recommended that works are performed from different stylistic periods.
 


 

Vocal accompaniment (Duration 30 mins)

Song programme with pieces from at least three stylistic eras, with own singer.
Four compulsory pieces (singer will be provided, without rehearsal)

The candidate is obliged to bring the singer for the examination themselves.
 


 

Instrumental accompaniment  (Duration 30 mins)

The candidate is obliged to bring the instrumentalists for the examination themselves.
 


 

Orchestral soloist  / Rhine Neckar Orchestra Academy  (Duration 20 mins)

In additional to audition concerts and the orchestral excerpts that are listed, the candidate will also be required to sight read an orchestral excerpt.
