Terms of admission for the postgraduate study course Jazz/Popular Music


Main subjects:

 

 

During the later part of the course, the following additional main subject is also possible:

 

Main subjects trumpet, trombone, saxophone, piano, guitar, double-bass, electric bass or vibraphone
(Duration up to 30 mins)

Additionally, there are also examinations in Music Theory and Aural Training.

 

 

 

 

 

Main subject drums - Jazz (Duration 20 mins)

This must contain a solo or 4-4 or 8-8 chorus. A band comprised of students (bass and piano) will be put together (please bring music with you). You cannot bring your own musicians with you. Playing along to CD's or sequencers is not permitted

Main subject percussion - Jazz (Duration up to 20 mins)

Main subject voice (Duration up to 30 mins)

The interpretations must be performed with the rhythm section that is provided
